MagSlide is a father and son collaboration between Tom & TJ Carter, combining both of their passions for guitar, music and product development.

Growing up around the family's tradeshow display company, Expogo Displays & Graphics, Inc., TJ developed a love for product innovation and bringing new products to market, leading him to graduate with a degree in Industrial Design from NC State University.

In 2018, while working on another product they were developing, Tom & TJ decided to test using a piece of magnesium tube they had as a guitar slide. Using it the first time they were intrigued by the warm tone it produced.  After months of development and prototyping, the result was the the MagSlide, a contoured and tapered magnesium guitar slide with a black chrome finish that is surprisingly lightweight, that produced a rich warm tone and a remarkable amount of sustain.

MagSlide was introduced to the music industry at Summer NAMM 2019 in Nashville, and has since become the favorite slide of thousands of guitar players worldwide.

MagSlide is a registered trademark of ThixoTek, Inc., a division of EXPOGO, Inc., a tradeshow display manufacturer and product development company with numerous patents, founded in 1988 in Wilmington, NC.
